At Excellent Tolk, we are all about building a sustainable, reliable and high-quality interpreting and translation industry. We believe the key to success lies in quality, cooperation and mutual respect – for our interpreters, our partners and the clients we support.
My name is Kamil Kruk, polish-dutch Interpreter, Lawyer and Divorce Mediator, and co-founder of Excellent Tolk. The idea for our agency arose from my own experiences and the changes in the industry.
In recent years, we noticed that the appreciation for interpreters was declining and working conditions were becoming less attractive. Colleagues were retiring as court interpreters, quitting the profession or struggling with uncertainty due to tenders and lack of permanence. At the same time, I heard judges at courts say, “No, let’s not refer to mediation, because the success rate is very low.”
With these insights and questions, I began to look for solutions. How could we as interpreters make a positive change in mediation processes? How do we make our profession more attractive, both financially and professionally? And how do we guarantee quality and create security for both partners and interpreters?
In this search, I came into contact with Ban van de Sande, who, with his broad experience in business services and analytical expertise, decided to join Excellent Tolk as a partner. Together we continued to build on our vision, and Excellent Tolk took its current form
With our shared expertise and experience, we focused on developing a platform that:

We listened to the needs of our colleagues and clients: stability and quality. Partners don’t want surprises, and interpreters deserve fair working conditions and the chance to show their professionalism.
As a result, we decided not only to offer interpreters, but also to guarantee quality through training, certification and a seal of approval. Together with AMV-Opleidingen – the training institute for divorce professionals, we have developed a unique module to prepare interpreters for mediation processes.
